MapBake can be used to identify any combination of 40,684 places.

There are 256 top level ISO codes. Of these:

  • 8 (3%) have no regions identified.

  • 20 (8%) have only a single level of subdivision

  • 228 (89%) have two levels of subdivision. Of these:

    • 1 has map data for none of the second level subdivisions

    • 42 have map data for some of the second level subdivisions

    • 185 have map data for all the second level subdivisions

This link is a MapBake page that will generate a color coded kmz file showing those places

All the 256 top level codes, and the 3208 first level subdivisions have complete polygon map data.

Of all the map data in MapBake:

  • 78% is polygon data

  • 18% is point data (all for second level subdivisions)

  • 4% the data is missing (all for second level subdivisions; and will be added when found)

There are 80 top level codes that have points for some or all of their second level subdivisions.

This link identifies the places that have some point data for the second level subdivisions
