Thanks to suggestions from David Tryse (you can check out his fine sites at http://kmlfactbook.org and http://david.tryse.net/googleearth/), a new feature has been added to Lose Resolution Simplify.

Some of the generated kmz files are large and make Google Earth sluggish. Using this, the files size can be reduced substantially making Google Earth more responsive.

Simplify reduces the size of the KML file but reduces the precision of the borders. The default is 5 which gives substantial reduction in files size. Higher values will result in smaller files. Zero will give maximum precision and file size.
